Our listening experience is associated with our steps. The sounds we hear when we walk depends on our paces. We have often ignored the beauty of the sounds around us and treat them as a single cloud of noises. My work at the police station stairs reannounces the complexity of the field of sound one can experience during his walk and the appreciability of it.

​

Through the airing of a recording of humming birds along the stairs at a fixed point in space, the pedestrians who slow down their paces and listen to the work become audiences of the clip, and inseparably, of the sounds around because of a choice made at their feet. Recognizing where we are and how we walk affirms the very life we are living – the endless occurrence and disappearance of sounds and our choice to be there to listen to them in our own ways at our feet: walking or staying, fast or slow, close and distanced.

走路時,腳步與聆聽之間的關係彼此緊扣著。一步 一步 一步，（屬於車的聲音?別人接電話的聲音?還是走路 時自己雙鞋子與地下磨擦時發出的聲音？）有時候，我們也許忽略了聲音之美，只願把它當成一堆噪音。作品在舊中 區警署的樓梯間重申了人在走路時所經驗的聲境的複雜性和可鑑賞性。

透過在空間的一點播放一段有關城市中鳥鳴的錄音，希望行人行慢一點點,在樓梯上放慢腳步，成為鳥兒們的聽眾，意識聲音。無數的聲音不斷此起彼落，活著便認知所身處的及如何走路去感受當下。而在我們的腳下就有着去欣賞它們的選擇：去或留，快或慢，或是遠和近。
